Dear Users,

We would like to provide an important update regarding the ongoing service disruptions affecting users in Spain. As of April 2025, several of our services continue to experience limited accessibility due to legal enforcement actions initiated by LaLiga, Spain’s professional football league, which have resulted in broad IP-level blocking by major Spanish ISPs such as Movistar, Vodafone, and Orange.

🧩 What’s Happening?
These ISP-level blocks are the outcome of court orders granted to LaLiga, allowing them to demand the blocking of IP addresses used by unauthorized streaming services. However, instead of targeting specific infringing domains, entire ranges of IP addresses—used by legitimate platforms such as Cloudflare and Vercel—have been blocked.

As a result, many unrelated, fully legal services (like ours) are being caught in the crossfire.

These restrictions are especially active during LaLiga match days (typically weekends), when content filtering mechanisms become stricter. The blocking affects a wide range of internet infrastructure, including:

Websites deployed on Vercel

APIs and applications behind Cloudflare

Static websites hosted on GitHub Pages

Services utilizing BunnyCDN, Backblaze, and others

✅ Is it Resolved?
Partially. Some affected services have mitigated the issue by rotating IP addresses or moving to different CDN providers. However, because the blocking happens at the network level, there is no long-term fix unless legal decisions change or ISPs adjust their enforcement methods.

Vercel has confirmed that the problem is external and has provided ongoing guidance to affected customers.

Cloudflare has filed legal objections, but the issue remains under judicial review.

IHOS services remain partially accessible depending on the region, ISP, and specific service configuration.

📌 What This Means for You
If you're located in Spain and experience issues accessing IHOS-hosted websites, APIs, or cloud storage, you are likely affected by this nationwide policy.

Recommended Action:
Use a VPN: We strongly recommend using a VPN to bypass the filtering and regain access to our services. This allows your traffic to be routed outside Spain, avoiding the ISP-level blocks.

Avoid peak hours (match days): We’ve noticed that restrictions are heaviest during LaLiga match broadcasts.

Report issues: If you encounter unusual outages, please contact us with details including your ISP, region, and the affected domain.

🔐 Our Stand
This situation is not just a technical inconvenience—it is a restriction on digital freedom. We firmly oppose the overreach of anti-piracy laws that collaterally block thousands of legitimate businesses and individual creators.

IHOS supports an open and accessible internet for all. We are actively collaborating with Cloudflare and Vercel to mitigate the impact on our users and are exploring alternative routing options and redundant infrastructure to minimize disruption.

Dear Users,

We regret to inform you that all of our services are currently facing significant accessibility issues within Spain due to recent actions that have led to the blocking of our primary protection service, Cloudflare, as well as a portion of our services that also rely on Vercel infrastructure. These measures, enacted by local ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and backed by legal decisions, are the result of ongoing disputes regarding unauthorized streaming services. Unfortunately, these actions are impacting legitimate businesses, including ours.

As a result of these actions, you may experience complete or partial inaccessibility to our services if you are located within Spain. This includes, but is not limited to, difficulties in accessing websites, APIs, cloud storage, and other ihos services that depend on Cloudflare and Vercel for network protection and content delivery.

Please be aware that, due to the nature of these blocks, services may not function at all in Spain until the situation is resolved. While we are actively working to address the issue, it may take some time before full access is restored.

We highly recommend using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to bypass these geographical restrictions and regain access to our services. A VPN will allow you to route your traffic through a different region, which can help you avoid the blocks in place and continue using our services as usual.

This situation is not just a technical issue, but a restriction on freedom. The blocking of legitimate services like ours goes against the principles of an open internet. These actions infringe upon your right to freely access information and the services you rely on. We believe that everyone should have the freedom to access the services they choose, without arbitrary restrictions being imposed by governments or other entities.

The ihos team is closely monitoring the situation and collaborating with both Cloudflare and Vercel to address this issue as quickly as possible. We understand the frustration and disruption this may cause, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We are committed to resolving this issue and ensuring that our services are available to all users, regardless of location.

We will continue to keep you informed about any developments regarding this situation. Rest assured, we are doing everything in our power to resolve the issue swiftly.

If you are experiencing issues or have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at hello@ihos.eu. Our team is here to assist you with any inquiries you may have.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this challenging time. Thank you for your continued support, and we will continue to work toward ensuring the free and uninterrupted availability of our services for all.
